“ Ukyo couldn't ask for anything more than Ranma's hand in marriage. She could wait a lifetime and she could wait three months.[3] ”
“ Ranma is escaping from Akane's cooking one day and is refugeeing at the Ucchans. Ukyo is remembering that day when Ranma had to choose between Ukyo or okonomiyaki. After talking for a while, Ukyo talks Ranma into agreeing to marrying her, if neither of them has found someone they liked more in the next 90 days. It would have been 6 months, but Ranma was not sure if he could take Akane's cooking that long...[4] ”
